Response times are quick as a flash
To ensure the stability of the power grid, deviations from the standard frequency of 50 Hz must be kept as low as possible. The EBU can deliver and receive its full output within a fraction of a second and thereby counteract frequency deviations with a high degree of precision.
Functional upgrades to enhance regional Power Quality and network control:
The Energy Buffer Unit is already in use at solar power plants, including the Alt Daber solar power plant. With a capacity of 2 MWh (megawatt hours), the unit provides the power flexibly and regardless of the time of day to actively stabilize the power grid.
